Yeah boys…
It’s been a while. I know. But I needed some time to get back in my groove. The season ended a week ago for my New York Rangers. A first round defeat in 7 games to Alex Ovechkin (you mighta heard of him) and the Washington Capitals. So yes, I’m back on the blogosphere, watching some May baseball and listening to Blackhawks hockey. Does it fill the void? No, but it helps ease the pain.
However, tonight it’s the second of two games against Bahston Red Sahks in the new home. And guess what? The Sahks scored four runs in the first. Stupendus! Where’s Swish and his Red Bull when you need him?
Ah, good, he’s coming up.
Does anyone have any good Yanks blogs reccomendations? I need something to feed my crave.
Say syonarra Chi-town
So it’s official. It took one hundred and two years, but fans in Chicago must wait another year. The Tampa Bay Rays just defeated the Sox 6-2 and await the winner of the Red Sox-Angels series to play the NLCS. Joe Torre’s Dodgers swept the Cubbies, and now the Rays advancing still in their first post-season EVER.
Sorry to say, but Chicago, Chicago, gotta wait another year.
[A.J. Pierzynski, sorry mate.]
now onto Red Sox- Angels action on a cold night in Boston [49 degrees, 46 with the wind chill]
I got my popcorn and Jones soda ready. Let’s get some October baseball rollin!
i really hate…
postponed games due to weather. What was it, like 5 today?!
Just to explain my name a little bit–
I am a Yankees fan. Not a bandwagoner, but not the die-est die-hard. Not like my Rangers.
But back to the name + blog name.
Obviously we all know yankees history here, when the one Yankees playoff game that went so far into extra innings, the calendar turned from October to November, the 1st November game in MLB history. At 12:01 AM, Jeter had a walk-off solo HR to the bleacher creatures to win the game for the yanks.
and someway, some how, there was a man that had a sign that said “Mr.November.” I always found that amusing.
and my name-name is “new york sports fanatica” since I am a new york sports fan, of mainly the Rangers and Yanks. (and for football it’s jets, but i loved them since the beginning, not just favre!!)
but for any NYY fans like yours truly, go over to yankeescast.com and listen to some of their podcasts and leave comments on their blogs as well. (on iTunes as well!)
praying for post-season,
NYSF
p.s. my favourite yankees are david cone and mariano rivera. I love pitchers!!
